Pick things up and drop them off

You collect something from one address and take it to another, within about ten miles. You confirm the handover with a photograph.

What you might be asked to do

  • Collect a document from an office and deliver it across town
  • Pick up an item from a shop counter that will not ship
  • Drop off a package at a specific desk and confirm receipt

What you need

  • Reliable local transport
  • A phone for confirmation photographs
  • Care with other people's property

The jobs, and what they pay

These are the exact jobs people can book today. The price is fixed before anyone accepts, and so is the deadline.

Local pickup and drop-off — within 10 miles

What the job asks for

  • One collection and one delivery, up to ten miles apart
  • An item one person can carry unaided
  • A photograph at collection and a photograph at handover
  • Confirmation of the name of whoever received it

Never part of the job

  • Anything requiring a vehicle larger than a car
  • Items that are hazardous, perishable, living, or illegal to transport
  • Anything requiring insurance, a chain of custody, or a signature of legal effect
  • Paying for the item, or any transaction at either end

How you get paid

Per job, at a rate we agree with you before your first one. The money is already paid and held before the job reaches you, so there is nobody to chase afterwards.

There is no automatic payment system yet — we pay you directly. That is one of the things that will change as this grows, and we would rather say so than imply otherwise.

If a job is not right

Say so and it is cancelled with a reason. Whoever booked it gets their money back in full. Turning down work you should not take costs you nothing here, and it is better than doing it badly.
